Articles question: In what ways has the criminal justice
system wrongly discriminated against minorities and what is a possible solution
to reduce the discrimination?
My thesis: Within the article, the author displays multiple
arguments and reasons about discrimination from the criminal justice system to
minorities. The reasoning behind her work helps explain how minorities are
discriminated and what can be done to solve the problem.
Within my paper, I think that it will be easy to explain the
content of the article along with demonstrating the writer’s purpose. However,
I do think it will be difficult to find out more about the author and write
about some strategies that she has used.

I prefer your first thesis statement to your second. It seems to explain a bit more and leaves out your own personal opinion which the second statement tends to have. Great job!

ReplyDeleteEven though Anthony and Felicia say you have two thesis statements I only see one. The thesis you provided is fairly solid although i think it could be polished up a bit. "The reasoning behind her work helps" doesn't really flow well.
